Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) refers to any satellite constellation, such as GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo, that provides worldwide positioning, navigation, and timing services.

GNSS often serves as the only viable option in areas without cellular or low-power wide-area network (LPWAN) coverage and is one of the few solutions for precise outdoor tracking of people, assets, or vehicles. In terms of precision, GNSS outperforms most other alternatives.
